Spanish 70's Hard & Heavy Rock band THE WIZARDS have inked a deal with Fighter Records for the release of their highly anticipated 2nd album "Full Moon in Scorpio" which will see the light next month of May.

     Formed in Bilbao (Basque Country) back in 2013, these five outcasts decided to form a band after several intense sessions of drug abuse and hard liquor drinking marathons at backyard parties where the records from BLACK SABBATH, DANZIG, THE CULT, BLUE OYSTER CULT, PENTAGRAM, DEEP PURPLE, DIO, HORISONT and ELECTRIC WIZARD where played so loud neighbors would call the police sooner than expected.

     In January 2014 THE WIZARDS recorded their first demo "Plagues". With only 4 songs recorded and a bunch of covers they are able to win the 26th edition of the local Pop-Rock contest Villa de Bilbao, and during 2015 they released their self-titled debut album through the band's own label Witch Records in collaboration with French label Geea Music.

     The band played live in France, Basque Country and Spain opening for legendary bands and artists such as THE DICTATORS, IGGY POP or TURBO NEGRO, sharing stage with bands like PETER PAN SPEED ROCK, HORISONT, HYPNOS and so on. They were even invited to participate in festivals such as Madrid Stoner Scene Fest, Kriston Fest or Faan Fest.

     During April 2016 THE WIZARDS entered Gaua Studio together with Brooklyn based produced Dean Rispler, current bass player for THE DICTATORS. During two weeks they recorded 8 songs that form their upcoming second album "Full Moon in Scorpio", engineered by Asier Zubelbu and mixed and mastered by Jesse Cannon (The Cure, The Misfits, Dillinger Escape Plan) at Cannon Found Soundation in Union City, New Jersey.

     "Full Moon in Scorpio" contains 8 tracks of Hard & Heavy Rock attack, the lyrics dealing with such issues as the destruction of the veils that blind us, the vast concepts of space and time, the search for spiritual enlightenment and so on. For the band it truly means a step forward in their quest for world domination. The sound is bigger, the songs are better and the band is ready to destroy and fuck things up wherever their presence is needed. The western world is collapsing, lets dance over the fires while we howl at the Scorpio Moon. All in the name of Rock and Roll. All in the name of Lucifer!

     La banda vasca de Hard & Heavy Rock de los '70 THE WIZARDS, acaban de firmar contrato con Fighter Records para la edición de su esperado 2º álbum "Full Moon in Scorpio" que verá la luz el próximo mes de Mayo.

     Formados en Bilbao (País Vasco) allá por 2013, estos cinco marginados decidieron formar una banda tras intensas sesiones de abuso de drogas y maratones bebiendo fuertes licores en fiestas caseras donde discos de BLACK SABBATH, DANZIG, THE CULT, BLUE OYSTER CULT, PENTAGRAM, DEEP PURPLE, DIO, HORISONT y ELECTRIC WIZARD sonaban tan alto que los vecinos llamaban a la policía antes de lo esperado.

     En enero de 2014, THE WIZARDS grabaron su primera demo "Plagues". Con tan sólo 4 temas grabados y un puñado de versiones, fueron capaces de ganar la 26ª edición del festival de Pop-Rock Villa de Bilbao, y durante 2015 editaron su homónimo álbum debut a través del sello de la propia banda Witch Records en colaboración con el sello francés Geea Music.

     La banda tocó en directo en Francia, País Vasco y España abriendo para legendarias bandas y artistas como
THE DICTATORS, IGGY POP o TURBO NEGRO, compartiendo escenarios con grupos como PETER PAN SPEED ROCK, HORISONT, HYPNOS y algunos más. Incluso fueron invitados a participar en festivales como el Madrid Stoner Scene Fest, Kriston Fest o Faan fest.

     Durante abril de 2016, THE WIZARDS entró en los Gaua Studio junto al productor afincado en Brooklyn, Dean Rispler, actual bajista en THE DICTATORS. Durante dos semanas grabaron 8 temas que conforman el inminente segundo álbum "Full Moon in Scorpio", grabado por Asier Zubelbu y mezclado y masterizado por Jesse Cannon (The Cure, The Misfits, Dillinger Escape Plan) en los Cannon Found Soundstation en Union City, New Jersey.

     "Full Moon in Scorpio" es un ataque de 8 temas de Hard & Heavy Rock, con letras que tratan de temas como la destrucción de los velos que nos ciegan, los amplios conceptos del espacio y tiempo, la búsqueda de la iluminación espiritual, etc. Para la banda realmente significa un paso adelante en su misión para dominar el mundo. El sonido es más grande, las canciones son mejores y la banda está lista para destruir y joder lo que haga falta donde se requiera su presencia. El mundo occidental se colapsa, bailemos sobre los fuegos mientras aullamos a la Luna de Escorpio. Todo en nombre del Rock and Roll. Todo en nombre de Lucifer!
